Supporting Autism Adventures and Autism Awareness Month 2019
As an Independent Franchise of O2, operating stores across the North West of England, we have a commitment to deliver exemplary customer service. To support this, our team training plan includes education of accessibility features and how technology can support people who have additional needs. Last year, our Guru and Leadership teams went through Understanding Autism training, facilitated by Autism Adventures UK. This enabled us to learn not only how we can adapt our working environment to provide an inclusive shopping experience and support families with Autism, but also how we can adapt our recruitment and people management styles to accommodate potential employees.
This training was rolled out to our wider team, and we were proudly an Autism Friendly business by the end of April 2018. This April, as part of Autism Awareness Month, Julie from Autism Adventures is joining us again, to refresh our knowledge and strengthen our commitment to providing inclusive environments for our internal and external customers.
